Whitson Elementary is happy to report that in our 3 month eSpark pilot program last spring we saw double the anticipated growth in foundational literacy skills  with approximately 100 2nd graders.  As we entered into the second year of our pilot (this one will run for 8 months), we have the following questions:

Will we see that same growth in the areas of reading literature, reading informational text and math over a longer period of time?

How can an under-privileged, rural school like ours hope to keep our students engaged in the latest digital technology when things change so rapidly and cost so much?

Thank you!
