Objective: 

Students will learn how to describe three-dimensional shapes by the number of edges, faces and/or vertices.

Resources: 
Net books
Preparation: 

Prior to instruction, the teacher needs to make a class set of the Identifying number of sides, faces, and vertices worksheet.

Instruction: 

In this lesson, the teacher will guide students through the various three dimensional shapes and their identifying characteristics utilizing the Interactives website step by step lesson. Students will need to be in pairs, utilizing the classroom net books, in order to follow along with the teachers guided lesson.

Assessment: 

Students will be able to successfully complete their worksheet(s) identifying the number of faces, edges, and vertices for each three dimensional shape covered.
