Duration: 
4 thirty-minute sessions
Objective: 
Students will research, write and present a brief informational talk about a breed of rabbit using the computer and SMART board.
Resources: 
Novel, Bunnicula, computer, SMART board
Preparation: 

Students need to read the novel, Bunnicula by Deborah and James Howe. The teacher needs to have students prepared to research, write a paper, and present a talk about an assigned breed of rabbit.

Instruction: 

In this lesson, the teacher will issue each student a breed of rabbit to research.  Students will take notes about their assigned topic.  Next students will organized their notes and write a very brief summary of their notes.  Finally, the students will copy and paste photos or pictures of their rabbit breed on to a document that will be shared with the class through the use of the SMART board. Use of a Power Point presentation is recommended.

Assessment: 

Students will all give a brief (three minutes or less) presentation to the class about their assigned topics.
