Lesson Plan Details
Duration: 
Two weeks
Objective: 
Students will learn to use a WebQuest in order to create travel brochures about Caribbean islands.
Resources: 
Laptops with Internet access Microsoft Word program Microsoft Publisher program Server to save group work
Preparation: 

Prior to instruction, the teacher needs to:

  • Identify objectives
  • Create a WebQuest
  • Identify websites to be used by students
  • Create a rubric
Instruction: 

This lesson is aimed at seventh grade students who are taking Latino Culture as elective class. The teacher will guide students to acquire or enhance the following skills:

  • Use of the Internet
  • Use of Microsoft Publisher
  • Note taking skills
  • Use of maps
  • Use of word processing software
  • Collaboration skills and strategies
