Lesson Plan Details
Duration:
4 weeks
Objective:

Students will learn...how to use the program pages.  They will also learn how to access the pubic folder and find the children's book template in their own student folder.  They will practice typing skills, as they type they 18 page children's book.

Resources:

mac laptops and pages application.

Preparation:

I created the template for the children's book and copied and pasted it into each student's folder and shared students final draft samples.

Instruction:

I will model for students how to access their student folder on the public server and then locate the children's book template.  I will show them they need to scroll down until they see the text box that states, "begin typing here."  I will instruct them that they need to click in the box, erase my typing and then begin typing their papers.

Assessment:

I will use their final 18 page children's books and assess based on them being formatted correctly as I modeled and instructed.  I will also assess them based on conventions, sentence fluency, voice and neatness of hand produced illustrations.
