We have, but we like the carts from Anthro much better.  They're smaller and easier to move around.  They are also easier to set up for charging.  IF you are going to be moving carts around a lot and you have limited space in classrooms (who doesn't?) then I would suggest investing in sturdy, compact, preconfigured carts.  It's an added cost that should be included when considering any mobile technology purchase.  Trying to save money by building your own carts will add a lot of work to managing the devices in the long run.  Then again, if you only have one cart shared between a couple of classrooms, you can probably make it work.
